cadence spectre error (VACOMP-1008)

cadence spectre error (VACOMP-1008)

Hi all
I am running cadence spectre veriloga simulation using ic610 and mmsim10.1. The output shows
ERROR (VACOMP-1008): cannot compile ahdlcmi module library spectre. My OS is ubuntu 11.10.
Anyone can help me to solve this problem? Thanks alot

I am not sure about the error you get. I got a similar error when using in windows. Later I found that there should be no space in file name or project name in cadence.

Try simulation again with file name or project name without space. Just give it a try and let me know.

Hi Tompham ,

Your solution worked like charm and yeah apart from that the shell also has to be changed to bash if in case your default shell is something else.

ADE XL running vnc server which start to looking fonts at following path:
Code: 
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts
which is deprecated in the most linux distributions.
Check if You have fonts in mentioned path and if not make simlink from /usr/share/fonts/X11/fonts.

hi Dominik,
I tried your suggestion as below but I still can't run ADE XL. Could you eleborate the detail - command, and exact directory name.
I'm using RHEL6.5.
Maybe suggest other solution?

1. I created a folder
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11

2. create a symbol link.

ln -s /usr/share/X11/fonts

3. verified the link by

ls

lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 20 May 15 13:47 fonts -> /usr/share/X11/fonts

4. try with
virtuoso -nograph

*WARNING* Could not open display hostname:80. If no X server is running for this display,
*WARNING* remove the file /tmp/.X80-lock: owner me, last modified Thu May 15 09:36:46 2014

no luck.
