i have 2 nokia phones like n72, nokia 1100 ... i want to interface any of them with microcontroller at89s52 (8052).. Is it possible because i have seen some posts where it is required to have a usb host (usb on the go):shock: .. Not even able to find whether my nokia cell phones support usb on the go feature ... reply soon..

You can connect it via bluetooth.....connect a bluetooth module having ttl interface like **broken link removed**

well my project is not having enough funding for buying these bluetooth stuffs... Nor do i hav a gud faculty to guide me for this... I have Nokia 3360 , Nokia 1100, Nokia N72, Nokia 2690 & Samsung 3310i available wid me for the project... Please guide me thru this...else any other mobile which can be used for a beginner like me in wireless then tell me...

what application do you want to build? you can try old cellphone such as sony ericsson T610, S700, K300, Siemens C35, M35, S35, ME45, C45 (not for all firmware version), C55, M55, S57 (i have tested all and work well with AT89S51). These types still use UART data communication. For new brand it will more difficult because of that USB port. And to communicate with nokia, mostly, we must be based on object exchange (OBEX) protocol and it's hard to be implemented on AT89S51/52.

as i was nt able to get these phones, I hav decided to go for embedded GSM development... I would be buying a GSM SIM 300 module and interface it with the uC 8052.. Purpose will be to display the message sent to that mobile SIM on LCD interfaced with uC

I will post when i will get the module .. So will get some guidance in this regard.. thnx

you can buy GSM Module online from **broken link removed**....it has both TTL and RS232 output so you can connect it directly to any micro controller
