aec isp

Hi,

I have downloaded the AEC ISP v3.0 program and build the cable, but every time i try to program my AT89S52 i got the following error message:

Error while programming Flash memory

Verify Flash memory

Flash byte error in address 0000

My hope is that any of you had the same error and in anyway can help me.

Thanks a lot
mcoster :?:

Details:

I am using windows ME and did not twist the cable (a line and a ground wire ).

I checked the reset status and i noticed it never got high so i add 10kohm pullup resistors.

But it still doens´t work.

My AT89S52 is rather new (more or less 50 write-erase cycles

aec v3.0

Hello

A little late reply but...

I hade the same problem recently and solved it with this start up procedure:

1: Connect AEC_ISP-cable (in both ends).
2: Power up AT89 application.
3: Power up PC.
4: Start AEC_ISP v3.0.

Best Regards

Re: aec isp v3

I am using this software and aec isp cable. When I try to write I have error:
Write error at address 00000000 byte written: 02 byte read: FF
What does that mean?
What should I do to make it work?

I guess that it would be, damage the micro-controller chip. You may try for new chip.

Make sure that, to follow the step describe above "https://www.edaboard.com/threads/23670/#post317539" unless you do not have buffer protection with the PC connection also check the hardware circuit again

Ya. I too think that the chip may be damaged. Try with a new one.

Jerin. :)

Please dont throw your mc away!!! this error is usual and is not due to a faulty chip... i worked on it and finally succeeded.

make the parallel port cable as per AEC schematic. needn't short 2nd and 12th pins( mentioned because i saw people asking whether this is the reason for the error).

download ISP programmer by Aadam Debkowski version 1999-2010.

try this !! it works

hay guys i think the application is incompatible with windows 2000,xp,win7,vista since we can not access parallel and serial port directly in those platforms.
