Hi :)

I was reading about 3G and i dint understand what processing gain is? Is it good to have more Processing gain or not?
And how it effects the data rate and creates the situation that the user near base station can access at high data rates.
Please explain in layman terms giving a example.

P.S: m reading John.Wiley.and.Sons.Convergence.Technologies.for.3G.Networks.Feb.2004.eBook-DDU.pdf and found out this in page 31.
