X-10 Home Automation Using PIC 16F877

Could you help me?
I tested user interface part that contain five push buttons , a LCD , and two crystals(7.68MHz and 32kHz).The 5V power supply is built with a transformer .The zero-cross and a triac inputs are not connected to the PIC.When the dc volt is applied to PIC , "Welcome Screen" is not seen although the push button is pressed.Why? the source code downloaded from the microchip webside is programmed into the PIC.Because of disconnection of AC power line to the circuit? Please answer me.Thanks.

You can find it from an application note of PIC microcontroller. try to search it from microchip.com, they may helpful for you.

you're right but the application note is about 120VAC, does anybody have a 220vac application? because i don't want to damge my pic

i m also working on x10, i m download the app note AN236 and code zip file too but i have a prblm with it when i want to build my code in mplab simulator, build is failed although i included every files, one msg is displayed on output window is that

Which version of MPLAB are you using?

Problem here appears to be some kind of version mismatch!

ı m working on an236 but ı couldn't see any results.because ı can't compile the source code.ı ve downloaded the mplab ide 8.1 but can t compile. ı dont know where the mistake is. ı hadn't used the mplab ide before maybe this is the problem.ı don't know what to do with lcd.asm,x10lib.asm,x10lib.inc...
