Hii All,

Firstly thanks for the timely advices given to me by you'll, I could manage to resonate my antenna at the required Frequnecy of 10GHz, but now I have a new problem, my design runs smoothly for single frequency with the Airbox Height of lambda/4 (Approx 8mm) but when I try to run it for a sweep (from 7 to 11GHz) everytime its giving me a message as to execution error on server and the process of meshing be it initial or adaptive dies unexpectedly at one point or the other in start, I don't know whats the problem? My antenna is a simple two p@tch line fed Microstrip antenna employing corporate feed, I'm new to using this software and would appreciate any help from you'll,

thanks in advance

can you give more details about the analyze setup? such as: frequency you specified. For example, you use mesh in 1GHz, then you sweep frequency until 10 GHz, you will get such kind of error.

Hiiiii Asadfaa,
THankx but I don't think I doing that mistake, because I'm setting my frequency of operation to 10 GHz and simulating my structure for 10 GHz, but anyways if you can suggest me how to set the frequency of meshing at 10 GHz I'll appreciate that, though I have a 1 GB RAM for the simulations.

First, you can check whether your simulation results are convergent, if it is not, you must increase the Maxium Number of Passes.
And, you can do Lambda Refinement, such as Target 0.1, and select Low-Order Soution Basis. Until you get correct result, for my experience, 1 wavelength 10segements should be enough for calculation.
If at one frequency point you can simulate, I can not figure out what kind error would happen in frequency sweep. sry cant help you.
Hope I make myself clear.

Hi Mirriyaz,
I agree with what asdfaa has said. I had the same problems when I was simulating my antenna and after I increased the number of passes, it worked fine. Try that...
Also like he said, you can look at the convergence to see how the meshing is coming along...
Ananth.

Try to mesh at the resonance freq and set the air box 1/4 of the lowest freq of the sweep. If same error still occurs, try to have smaller range of sweep. There maybe more than one resonant freq exist ????
