Hello,

I'm using the FT232RL from the altium library, but when I want to connect a trace to the pad, I can't get it on the pad. I can only start drawing from the pad to the trace.
And when I do connect them, I get the key symbol on the trace and pad. What does this mean? And how can I fix this?

Thanks in advance

The key symbol means that the pad is locked, you can double click the pad and un-lock it (the check box is in the properties section) and see if this makes a difference and lets you track into the pad. If not my next guess would be a clerance issue, rules or rouge bit of track on the pad.

Hope this Helps,
Chris.

firstly try the thinner trace if you can connect the thinner trace then set the clearacne rules.

I have noticed similar situation several times. While tracing - something crashes and I get error message. After that the last moved net becomes locked.
