Hi Guys my final year project is Mobile telemetry for Gas Flow.I am using PIC MICRO CONTROLLER 18F4550 and i have to interface it with Gsm Modem ... My question is which GSM modem should i use so that the output coming from flow sensor is texted on mobile phone ? And which Flow sensor should i use whether venturi tube or orifice?

Guys I need a quick reply...

regards

Use GSM Modem sim900
The design uses RS-232 protocol for serial communication between the modems and the microcontroller.A serial driver IC is used for converting TTL voltage levels to RS-232 voltage levels.
i think Orifice are small plates and easy to install/remove and in the final year project it is fine to use it rather than a complex mechanism

Thanks alot brothers for your reply's ...I googgled Sim 900 its meeting with all of my requirements but i feel that its interface is much difficult and it must be costly as well .I have also another choice of Siemens MC55i as most people use this modem for telemetry projects & Applications. What are your Suggestions.
