I am working on a ultrasonic sensor for distance estimation(level of fuel) in a tank(fuel tank of car).I have to generate a burst of 10 pulses (0-5v) then i need an input of -10-10v for a ultrasonic sensor to transmit ultrasonic pulse.I have to work with 12 v DC(car's battery).
I think i have to use comprator for 0-5v conversion to 10-10v but i don't know which one.So please help me guyz.

If you use CMOS gates to drive an ultrasonic transmitter you can achieve roughly 20V pp without additional dc-dc converter, see attached picture ..
