What microcontroller(PIC) should i use to interface the wifi adapter?tnx

Do you have any wifi adapter module or datasheet? The interfacing depends on what communication to use. UART, SPI, I2C.
PIC16F877A and PIC16F887 is commonly used, that enough to use UART, SPI or I2C.

ya i agree with what he said it depends on mainly what kind of interface is used to connect to the wifi module. pic 16f877 has uart i2c and spi in it so it will be enough i most of cases.if its a wifi modem you need to have the piout and you might need full modem capable controller with rts cts etc

Hi there, I found a new wifi module, but with a PIC24F inside. It's open source and has a free IDE. There's a sw framework based on freeRTOS and it's preatty easy to program and to embed complex websites on it (I use it for webserver app)
Just google openpicus flyport module

cheers
Rob
