This is a project of linear power supply for powering HF radios.
Components used in construction:
  • 880VA transformer with two windings 15V each, wire 2,2mm
  • rectifying bridge – 4 diodes from computer power supplies 40A
  • filter 32x4700uF/25V
  • power transistors – 4x IRFP150
  • control system is made of uA 723
Measurement results, which was conducted on an artificial load, in the form of large wirevariable resistor and a hand ammeter 0-60A, went as follow:
voltage / current
  • 13,75V / 25A
  • 13,75V / 30A
  • 13, 75V / 35A
  • 13, 64V / 40A
