I have a shed for my chickens, that need light at day, and no light at night.

I have some photocells laying around, and will be working with a lamp with solar-charger.

Anyone has a schematic for this?

Check out this schematic. You make a voltage divider with the photocell (you can also replace the resistor with a pot. for sensitivity control). You set the threshold using the pot in the opamp's other input. You drive the relay using a simple transistor (like 2N2222 or something similar). Make sure to use diodes to prevent the relay from killing your circuit with back EMF.

Hi

Im sorry, but im having a little trouble reading the schematic.

This is allmost same circuit......

Light or Dark Sensor Circuit
LM741 Light Dark Sensor Circuit - Electronics

-for reversed action exchange LDR & R1

In this circuit reaction time to adjusted light level is quite short 2..3sec.
need modification, so that switch reaction delay is much longer. ( several minutes )

The circuit recommended by kak111 is perfect for the requirement and cost effective, too.
