hi,
we are working on a project that requires to sense the distance between two vehicles. thats why we need to know which sensors will be suitable for distance measurement of about 20 meters.

I think Ultrasound sensors can be a good solution , but you may need to consider movement of your target

hi,
we require range atleast 10 meters. Ultrasonic sensors measure distance in centimeters. Laser sensors is an option but we are not getting it in market.
 

Also be done by using of laser displacement sensors
