Dear Friends

I am simulating Frequency selective surface (FSS) using Ansoft HFSS.I am using incident plane wave as the source.I need to find the energy tramsmitted through the FSS.Can anyone guide me how to calculate that?
S21 and S11 cant be obtained directly as I am not using any ports.

Thanks
DeeJay

I wonder the answer to the same question for MWS

Re: How to calculate transmittivity and reflectivity in HFSS

HI

I got to know that we can use Method of Moments and Chen's Method "Scattering by a two dimensional periodic array of conducting plate"IEE Tran. on Ant. and Propgn. Vol-18,No.5,1970.

But we need another program like Fortran or Matlab to compute the same.

If any one has any related source code, kindly pass it on.

Thanks

DeeJay

Hi irfan1,

I am not exactly sure how to do it but I think in MWS, you can use probes in appropriate locations with the right boundary conditions to find out reflection.

Maybe someone else in the forum can help in the procedure.
