Active Parts will not allow me to use the footprint or any other material needed to use for design, so i can create a netlist. Is there a way to manually create all this data? My company is working on the licensing but for now i am trying to learn the program. Any help would be greatly appriecated.

Thank you,
Newbie

OrCAD Capture CIS Demo
■ You cannot save designs that have more than 64 nets,
including the hierarchical blocks in the design. You can still
view or create larger designs.
■ You cannot save a design with more than 60 parts, including
the hierarchical blocks in the design. You can still view or
create larger designs.
■ You cannot have more than 10 parts in the Capture CIS
database.
■ The Internet Component Assistant (ICA) tab in the CIS
Explorer window opens the About ActiveParts page
(www.activeparts.com) and not the component search
page.
■ You cannot create parts with more than 14 pins.
■ You cannot save libraries with more than 15 parts.
■ The Capture FPGA flow is not available.

You can create a footprint in PCB Editor and use the existing one from <installDir>/share/pcb/pcb_lib/symbols/*.dra

Pick the name of desired footprint from this location
Add this name as PCB_FOOTPRINT property in capture on symbol.

You can also refer the flow tutorial for more details on this.
