hi everyone,

ive got a question about how to calculate the average current(ITAV) of SCR in a single phase half controlled birdge with flying wheel diode in the middle, the bridge is supplying a resistive load.

the question is all the formula i have are to work with inductive load, but it should be simpler with resistive load. whats the formula to calculate the average current that SCR would carry? with a firing angle in it.

PS: i understand with resistive load the SCR current should be half of the load current. but with a firing angle, im not sure anymore.

thanks

Hi.

You sove such kind of problems by using integrals (math). If you're familiar with integrals I'll try to explain.

it turned out the tutor made a mistake, it IS inductive load, not resistive load.
thanks anyway. and thank *** i dont have to do the math. lol
