Hi all,

I am looking for a script or excel macro or even a software that converts a BGA pin list in excel format to a BGA ball map in excel.

Does anybody have a way or know a tool to do this?

Thankx

Have you got any examples of both types of excel file?

Please see the attachment. The xls sheet has two sheets, one for BGA pin list and their net names and the other one is an already created ball map.
What I am looking for is a script of software that converts the pin list to the ball map because we do not always receive the ball map so we have to create the ball map from the pin list

hope this explains what I am asking for.

Regards,

IMO it would also need to be variable dependant upon the BGA, for X/Y numbers.

Sounds like a complex macro is needed for this.

True. However, it does not have to be fully automated. I mean the macro can be edited in a way every time according to the BGA size. I did have a macro in the past and it was not a complicated one. unfortunately i lost it :-(

There is a software out there called BallMap Converter but its super expensive for the purpose i need it for!
