Hi Guys,

I am a digital ASIC design professional and want to get into analog IC design. Any suggestions/ideas for a challenging, relevant project that I could start off with? Should I go for PLL's or ADC/DAC's or something else?

Any ideas/suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

Okay, here's my dream chip-I would buy a lot of these. High channel count AD converter (32+ inputs). This device should be capable of sampling high-quality audio, so sampling rate will be a function of number of input channels. Would require fast, accurate muxes (or 32+ ADCs!)

* Programmable gain on each channel.
* Porgrammable Unipolar/bipolar input.
* Parallel output (or very high speed serial--LVDS maybe)
* Progammable sampling sequence

Good luck. Let me know when you need a beta tester!
