Hi!

i'm writing my bachelor thesis on the bipolar current generator.
I've done so far all the theorical computations and simulations with pspice.
Now it's time to create the pcb. I'm using orcad capture and layout.
First of all, can you suggest me a nice tutorial from the basics? :)

Here is an image of the schematic and layout:

what should I add in the schematic for the power supply and signal source?
any suggetion will be appreciated! Thank you!

You should properly add either a solder pad for your power/ground/output. Or use connectors.

thank u for replying! i do need connectors for power/ground/output. What kind of connectors are usually used? what are their names in capture?

it depends on the your application, power handling etc. You can use just simple pin-heades for starters. I know these are available in layout. Do not remember which library...though.
In schematic try looking under connectors, there you could find some suitable Capture symbols or you could make one yourself.

As everything is PTH and 0.1" pitch, I would look for connectors at the same pitch, there are millions, these type are quite good as it is easy to make your own custome cable up and get a neat job.

I would also be very tempted to add decoupling to the opamp supplies, possibly a 0.1 down (or up) to ground.

Which version of OrCAD Capture your are using? For release newer that 10.5 you shall be able to find out OrCAD flow tutorial in your installation. This shall guide you step by step for taking your design from Capture to layout.

thank u all again! I didn't know about flow, it's fantastic! just what i needed..
will post again here, you're really helpful :)
