Correlation help in matlab and general doubt in correlation.

I have a doubt. If i have two sequences, sin(x) and cos(x) and if i compute the crosscorrelation using matlab, shouldn't the answer be zero?
I'm not getting it as zero.

I have no problem with cos(x) and cos(2x).

Also, one more doubt. Autocorrelation function is maximum at 0. Why is the peak always in the middle, in the matlab plot?
