I have a big problem. I have select code protect in my PIC16f767. Now i can´t program it, i am desperated... Does anyone know how to disable code protection??? I am using mplab 6.4 and a picstart plus programmer.

Hi,

As i know whenever you set the code protect, you can't read the stored code in the chip, but you can still erase and program the chip with new firmware.

Bye

Hello,
You erase the chip and read it! If you are not receiving 3FFF in the buffer,(make sure that the programmer hardware and setup is OK!!)
most likely the chip is lost!!.
I have such experiences with 16F877A.I dont know why.
All the best
