Hi Guys,

I request some guidance in simulating a Spiral Inductor in HFSS. I followed a tutorial by ANSYS ( attached ppt). I am not able to assign the excitation properly.( please see the attached silicon spiral inductor design in HFSS). The tutorial on slide 18 says to define Lumped port Terminals by clicking the undefined column and select new line and then defining the coordinates. But I am not able to see these options and I am just able to give the lumped port without any coordinates to define the integration line.

Please help me out here. I did all the steps as the tutorial said but still not able to get the expected results. Could any of you please open my design and help me debug the issue?

Thanks a lot for your time and support.
(My version of HFSS is 13.02)

Regards,

Hemanshu Abbey

Hi Hanif,

Thanks for your reply. I already went through the links before posting my question. My problem is the assignment of lumped port and inability to define an integration line. Could anybody help here?
