Hi,
I have this situation. I have to design a bluetooth based data acquisition system. This device should detect other bluetooth devices in its range and store the MAC ID of the detected devices and the time of detection. It'll be helpful if someone gives me an idea how to work about with this project. Where to start and stuff..

First you have to start with basics bluetooth interfacing.
get two modules
1> usb based pc bluetooth
2> UART based ready to interface bluetooth for uC.
then learn communication between these two.

yeah that is fine...but in my project the objective is to acquire and store the MAC id's in a memory device say a micro SD or something...and later say after two hours or so, visit the place take the card to retrieve id's later in the lab....
Thanks for your reply by the way...:)
