Hi,

I was going through the datasheet of NE566 IC .
There is a control voltage Vc to control the frequency of oscillation. But in the datasheet it has been specified V+≦Vc≦V+ where V+ is the input voltage..
I couldnt understand the same.
Also it has been mentioned the absolute maximum voltage to the Vc pin is 3Vpp
Can some body help me to understand the same?
Thanks

The Signetics datasheet shows the correct version as "3/4V+ ≤Vc ≤ V+"

If you check the voltage divider used in the applications, you will see that is right. Unfortunately, I can't link to that datasheet right now.

John

Edit: I will try to attach.

When you analyse the internal circuit of the NE566 you will easily notice that there are plenty of circuitry below the input transistor, so the condition that the bias/control voltage has to be between 3/4Vcc and Vcc is correct ..
