Dear All,

I have a serious trouble converting a .max board file edited by OrCAD Layout Plus 16.2 into Altium .PcbDoc using AD S09 or AD 10. During the converting I get multiply warnings like "Unterminated string at Line..." and there is only way to press Cancel button in order to carry on. At the end of the process I can get only few options: the import wizard stops responding or gives a final message "Catastrophic Failure".
I can remebrer though I was pretty much successful converting the very same board when it was just created in Orcad Layout Plus 15.7. Unfortunately I can't go back to that version and have to deal with 16.2 only.
Does anyone have experience in this area and can suggest any ideas about the cause of the failure? Is there any third party converters that might be able to do the right thing for me?

Regards,
androm

have you tried to export to ASCII first and then import that into Altium?

That could be a good alternative and I've heard it's possible somehow but can you tell me how exactly to save in ASCII?
