need PIC based AC / DC voltmeter (1 to 440V)

hi,
I need a PIC based DC-AC voltmeter range 1-440V,with LCD 2line display,if u have please help me.
 

As pic deals with 5v so you need to step down your voltage to 5v by using transformer.
Use two analog pins for seperate mode (AC and DC).
use a formula in the pic in such a way that if you get 5v input at analog pins it shows you 440v.
use the higher resolution of adc for accurate readings.

My friend can you give explanation for AC-DC voltmeter ? If is 440VDC then transformer cant be used, you must use hall sensor, shunt, or adequate switching circuit for measurement of DC values.

I don't think anyone's going to give a complete ready-made solution. However we can help you design it.

Have you done any coding with the PIC? Which PIC did you select? Did you understand the concept of using the ADC? And how to use it for this particular application?

Now I am going to measure AC 220V without trf. I'm going to use a 220V AC to 5V DC transformerless power supply to interface with PIC ADC. The same thing I want to do with 440V. So I need a circuit (transformerless) which converts 1000V AC to 5V/12V DC. I will do the coding.
