Guyz, i is SAW filter is an active filter or a passive filter ?

passive, may costs 2dBm power loss.

a passive filter it's loss is dependent on the bandwidth.more wider more smaller.

With respect to other passive filters, SAWs has a better group delay response.

SAW is passive filter, the IF SAW has high outband attenuation ,it is more easy to fabricate but the RF saw is difficult to design

Surface Acoustic Wave: A sound wave that propagates along the surface of a solid and is contained within the solid. SAW devices typically combine compressional and shear components. In Wireless applications, SAW refers to a Surface Acoustic Wave band-pass filter, which exhibits much better out-of-band rejection, but has higher passband ripple and insertion loss.

I am attaching some good articles on the topic...

Enjoy reading :)

passive , but FEM will integrate active component in it

Please don't reply for the 10th time it's a passive filter. Add something constructive instead.

You should check the groupdelay. It always has some ripple over the passband. Take this into account.
