Hi, every one,

I am pretty new here. I just start my study in RF mems area. Last semester, I took RF course which was taught by a very bad teacher. I don't think I learned a lot from his course.

Is there any good books, simple but have some depth, for RF or RF mems? Any reply will be highly appreciated. Thank you guys.

Hi,
Buy a copy of RF circuit design by Chris Bowick. It is one of the better books.
Build few simple FM receiver circuits from cook book and the later design on your own. Trouble shoot!!!
Hopr this helps

hi, rf IS A NEW TEch, u would not want ur teacher to tell u more. recommand browse the rfic2004.org

The most important thing is to get back the basic of RF are :

a) Get a Fundamental book on electronics and communication books.

b) Get a book on RF microelectronic by Radzavi.

c) get their basics and understand them With good basics u would able to understand better about RF.

d) Do your own notes.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I will try to find a RF book by Ravazi.

Again, thanks.

u dont need to find it. just click **broken link removed** 8)

P.S. the book is 37.65MB 8O

may I make a suggestion here? RF is the most broad part of electronics. In microelectronics you ignore a lot of things by default. In RF things get complicated a lot and you possibly (it can be the reverse too) may have not understood the teacher very well.

I can not say , there are bad teachers also but knowing the level of difficulty RF has I expect students to blame the teacher.

RF is also hard but you must study hard.

In my opinion a good grasp of theory in RF is a must. But it is extremely important to practice as well, for example designing and realizing ugly circuits for simple receivers, and so on. Where can one get a cookbook on the web? Or simple projects - i.e. "ugly construction" - which requires a bread-board?

Thanks.

Can I start entering the RF field by designing a receiver circuitry using a PLL. I thought a deep knowledge search in PLL may reveal many facts.May I know your comments.

RF microelectronic by Radzavi is the best book for any newbie in the field of RF.

and RF is a very broad field and demands hard work from the student .one cannot blame a bad teacher for poor fundamentals in RF.u have to build them yourself.

nevertheless its a great area for research .
all the best
