hi,i would like to design a transmitter n receiver with a minimum of 8 channels.i ll use this to control my robot n i dont want to buy any modules.is there any way to design ?if so how?

I would advise you to find a book on model aircraft control systems.
In principle there are two basic ways how to send commands by radio:
1. one command after another like controlling your TV set. Then you can adopt the TV control IR transmitter and IR receiver; instead of the IR LED and photodiode insert your radio channel transmitter and receiver. One radio channel can be all you need.
2.All commands should be sent at any moment. Then use model-aircraft approach. Pulse code modulation and demodulation is used, so again one radio channel is utilized. Individual pulses in the code are controlled by separate commands. As the pulse sequence repeats fast, all command can pass without any interruption.

Over a short distance, like from your hand to a robot several meters away, you could use the simpler infrared devices like TV set control. Radio is more applicable over > 100 meters distance.

k ir is good but it wont b efficint if there s any obstacle between the transmitter n receiver,r wen u operate n open space.thats y i need a rf remote control.anyhow thanx for ur suggestion.
