hello friends..I'm creating a line tracking robot for a project. But I got some problem with its sensor panel. Can anyone expalin how to use this IR sensor and Emmiter to get an output from op amp.. like lm 324,, the sensor I'm using displays below.. **broken link removed** **broken link removed**

Hi,

It is just an infra red LED and a photo resistor or a photodiode. The opamp is used to amplify the signal received.

This website illustrates how you use the sensor: **broken link removed**

I assume that the tracking line is black on a white background
For a line tracking robot you will modulate the red led with a say 5 KHz signal. The reason for this is to remove the effect of ambient light.
You receiver circuit will after amplification , filter out the 5 kHz signal with a band-pass filter. After he band-pass filter you will rectify the signal.
The cicuit will have a 0 V output if the sensor is on the line and a +5V output if the sensor is off the line (reflection from the white surface)
