Hi there!
I am currently working with a system that we are going to make portable for the first time. Hence, are we in need of a battery and a battery charging system. Can you give advise on an IC for charging, a battery and charger?
Requirements: Lithium Ion battery (4.2 V), about 1500 mAh or more, USB connector is preferable.

Thanks in advance,
Mr_Embedded

you can not charge a battery that is 4.2V from the USB hub, because it gives about 4.8 to 5V, and u need about 4.6 or 4.8V for charging
you need an external power supply, if the battery were 1.2V or 2.7V or 3.7V you can charge them from the USB
