I need the pcb layout, source code of the atmel 89 series usb programmer if anyone can help me in that......Note that any 89 series usb programmer would work but not SERIAL programmer.....

well I have a SERIES port programmer by SUNROm......can i use a USB-SERIAL converter and connect it to my PC will it work that way?
 

Yes...Sunrom programmmer is a serial port programmmer. It can be used on a USB port by using a USB to serial converter. Search for sunrom programmmer DIY on EDA board. Cheers
 

I mean to ask what kind of usb to serial converter???....I have a cable which has serial switch on one side and usb switch on the other...will it work?

...hassan, PCs generally have the SERIAL ports, but generally the laptops doesn't have them...so if your PC have one then use it with the programmer...or your converter cable should work great with laptops/ usb ports...if you intend to make a programmer yourself then try this out...

The cable is derived by a driver named TUSB3410.....i need its driver to connect to serial so can u give me the driver.....

hi sir i also want to know about the details of a usb programe for 89xx .how it work ? Which type protocol works on it ? I like to know may i write /make the software for the buner by using c,c++,vb

...you don't need to write any burner software for this, because on internet there are many softwares which you can use with it...like progISP, extreme burner, khazama burner, burn-o-mat etc. to name a few...

...hi hassan, i've been able to download some software from the same link which contains all the necessary drivers and some development support also...so i think this should provide all the necessary drivers to run your cable too...please check it out...i've uploaded the file at the following link, download it...
