hello
we're working on out graduation project titled "An FPGA design of OFDM modulator for LTE networks"
using XILINX's SYSTEM GENERATOR to download the code to the FPGA chip "SPARTAN 3AN"
there must be some sort of comparison in the results chapter and we still cant decide what the reference model "ideal simulation" should be?
some advised that we can simulate using MATLAB's SIMULINK and consider that an ideal simulation with MATLAB using floating point and so, but doing that we're gonna have to do the cyclic prefix on our own (the IFFT block does not have that feature like in the system generator) meaning it wont be so ideal ideal.
we've found an LTE blockset for simulink that has an OFDM block in it but am thinking that will be too ideal and it will be too hard to generate something similar to it, we haven't tried it yet coz we could only lay our hands on a trial version that can work for a month.

can anyone please advice me what to do

sorry for the poor english
