hello can u plz send me the step by step procedure, how to import company logos or images to allegro

Hi raajgo,

your logo and images must be in .DXF (drawing interchangeable format) if have it means

file----> import---> dxf and then DXF IN window open and then----> location file , and fill logo class
and then select increment selection,default text table

NOTE : DXF file and board file dimension must be in same (like mm or mils )

hello kapil,
I also did like this so many times but i'm getting the error here i attached an error file please find that and please kindly send me the solution i'm waiting for your replay,I'm trying its from past 3 weeks plz replay me

hi Raajgo,

isuue is with your DXF. Splines are not supported by Allegro. Issue is raising because you created the DXF directly from your 3D software ( solid works, proE etc).

Try the following
1. Open the DXF in Visual cad ( inastallation folder/cadence/spb xx.x/tools/layout_plus/vcad)
2.edit --> select all
3.symbol --> explode symbol
4.modify --> explode
5.then save as DXF in some other names.
6. import the new DXF to allegro.
cheers,
Nikhil

hi rajgo,

I think your DXF donot contain any valid data ( file size is only 9 kb). here I attached screen shot when I opened DXF given by you in a DXF viewer .How ever I followed the steps I mentioned earlier and successfully imported it to allegro. Herer I am attaching the new DXF. You can import to your allegro using the normal procedure ( file--> import--> DXF)
