Hi,

We know der are many library vendors, for eg,
a. TSMC
b. UMC
c. Samsung
d. IBM
e. Chartered etc...

consider a technology (45nm)

above mentioned library vendors will provide libraries for 45nm technology,

1. what is the difference between TSMC libraries with others?
2. Is der anything related to power, timing etc...?

lets begin this discussion with a mux standard cell library provided by different vendors?

what will the difference between one vendor to another one for mux std. cell library.

please share your views,
Thankyou

What I've seen is performance difference. Every vendor's stdcell's performance is different.

Hi friend,

Firstly all are different foundries, so the performance of cell in one library differs from other. It is because of manufacturing process and the characterisation of that cell(number of parameters in schematic) and How good layout is done.

This is as per my knowledge, Plz correct me if am wrong :)
