Hello,

What is best PCB surface finish for pads that will be directly connected to ring terminals using screw/washer/nut ?

The PCB assembly must be suitable for working in medium-high moisture environments, but terminals won't be removed and put back unless the PCBA has to be replaced (I hope never).

So, should I pick HASL, Immersion Silver, Immersion Gold over immersion Silver, Electroplated Gold over Immersion Silver, Electroplated Gold over Electroplated Nickel, Electroless Nickel Immersion Gold.... or what else?

Thanks,
Daniel

What other technology is on the board, SMD? What soldering process leaded or lead free? Depending on cost, current rating etc, I would choose a basic finish for the board that is commensurate with the first two points raised above (ENIG and ENEPIG are two popular finishes, but I would do more in depth research), and for long term reliability have the ring terminal pads selectively hard gold plated.

ENIG is best if further precaution do the conformal coating after board tested
