i need a program codeto control the speed and position of a dc motor using pic16f877 and driver l293d.....
 

What tacho meter are you using.... how do you measure the speed of a dc motor and finding position of a dc motor is not possible......

It has to be a closed loop to control speed or use a PID for that purpose and measure the speed using a tachometer

i also think you need pwm to vary or control the speed with out which how will you control the speed without controlling PWM
 

Hi friend

why do you want to use DC motor for position control?
any special reason.

Otherwise there are many better option for Position control.

One is use Stepper motor with L297 and L298 driver IC.
It gives you better position control with Speed variation.
