Greetings All,
I am having trouble transferring my design from Capture CIS to Allegro PCB. Pertaining to Allegro PCB, I'm not sure if the Design path is correct (PSMpath & Padpath) because I haven't mastered the techinque of assigning the symbols (.dra file) to the drawing.
I'm fairly new to this process and would appreciate a little guidance .
Oh yeah I'm currently held at version 15.7.

netlist errors are as follows;

#1 Warning(304) Device/Symbol check warning detected.
Symbol '0402' for device 'CAP NP_2_0402.1UF not foundin Psmpath or must be "dbdoctor"ed.

P.S I'm using the current library parts...................

hi,

dont place the footprints in netlist importing folder...u can place netlist and board in some other folder..after importing netlist to brd u can place that brd to footprints folder..then u can place the components.....also warning is not an problem u can work with that also..

so....... do you mean I should leave off naming the footprint(s) of the part , then run the netlist.

please explain further:

You say you are using OrCAD Capture CIS. Are you placing components from the CIS database or from a local library?

I believe that would be the local library, see example;
(C:\Cadence\SPB_15.7\tools\capture\library)
