regarding eeprom access in AT89C51ED2

Hai friends,
I am using AT89C51ED2 microcontroller. I would like to store the position information measured by the optical encoder into internal EEPROM of AT89C51ED2. Can anybody help me in writing C code for storing the data in EEPROM.
