4n25 drive ttl

How do I build an isolated RS232C to TTL interface using 4N25 or TIL111 optocouplers to work with speed up to 4800baud and RS232C side be powered by RS232C computer's interface?

Regards,

Fernando

rs232c ttl

how about using 1488 and 1489 to interface between rs232c and ttl

isolated rs232c interface

how about infrared? isolation, high speed for future and self-powered for PC side transceiver.

rs232c to ttl

1. self powered :
How to get power from RS-232 port

2. use **broken link removed** replace 7805 to get more current.

3. use compatible max232 devices to convert level and drive Optocoupler.

good luck!!!
