Hi
I am having a problem, when i plug-in memory card in the computer it show a message "format memory card YES/NO".when i click on the memory card drive icon to open it,it doesn't open, the message again appears that format the memory card. I have lot of data in memory card and i dont wanna format the card unless i copy all the data, i wanna ask is there any way to copy the data before formatting,
Thanks.

try to format the card

i think u will not able to format it.

there are many softwares to recover the data from memory card, so dont worry if possible then format the card

ok i will try to format the card but give me some links from where i download the recovery software.

you can search for power data recovery in google
or here is the link
**broken link removed**

If your card is prompting like that then it is corrupted and only after formatting it you can access the card, and for your data if you want it back then also you have to format it. Go for "Kernel for FAT and NTFS" memory card recovery software which helped me in same situation before.

May be there is a virus in your memory card and after detecting it your pc calls you to scan it immediately.

The problem seems that the data is corrupt. You can still retrieve the data, First you have to download a "Data recovery software" and run it
this will back up the data from your memory card to your computer
then when you backed everything up, format the memory so it will work again. After formatting it you can restore all your data.
