I've tried changing baud rare. Nothing happened. I think there is a hardware problem...
any suggestions please???

Is your cable working.. short pin 2 & 3 and type something on terminal to see if you are getting the characters you type.

use 12V/1A power supply. if your modem works at 5V.

or interchange the tc and rx on your cable at one end and try

I think you should limit Baud rate .
try it

I found the problem. On GSM module g24l are some pins (IGN, ON_on...) , that works as ignition. I didn't connect them. well, I can't turn on the module. Thanks for your help.

Hi, I'm facing the same problem as well - not getting a response from HT. I have configured the IGN, CTS_N and RESET_N according to the timing sequence in the operating instructions (if anyone knows the exact method of doing this please let me know - think this is the main reason why its not working!). Please can I know what were your HT settings - i.e. flow control = hardware? (I used hardware as it mentioned that by default the G24L is in hardware flow control). However, when I do this, HT gives me an error saying "Unable to open COM8. Please check your port settings". The settings I used in HT is the same as that of the USB/Serial cable (i checked via device manager). My baud rate is set to 19200.
Do I need any drivers from motorola to use this?

Any advice is very much appreciated! Have been stuck for almost a month now! Thanks!
