choosing transistor for h bridge -pwm

i need some one to help me choose a transistor type for h- bridge control of dc motor if the dc motor rating be between 12-36 volt , so what kind of transistors can be used?

if u r sure u want to use a transistor and nos light weight mosfets

and if u r sure that weight of transistor is not a problem i recommend u use 2n3055 power transister
 

i suggest u use l298 dual h bridge driver..u can have 2 amps per transistor..see the block diagram to understand easier
hope it helps
