problem regarding a jfet voltage divider biasing scheme .
On connecting the actual circuit, a
good voltage swing is been read by the
multimeter but on connecting the ammeter
in series no current can be read. The circuit is
working as desired, even during simulation,
but still the current cannot be read from the
multimeter. I\'ve checked all the
connections, the fuse of the multimeter,
power supply, the transistor. The multimeter
read once, but I seem unable to do it again. What
else can I do? BF244B.PNG

BF244 is an n-channel JFET, so your power supply should be reversed (+ @ drain side). Due to its symmetry, the stage works anyway, however not optimal.

You report doesn't sound plausible. You can't observe voltage across the resistors without a current. Surely the FET will be biased somehow. We can't know if as inteded, because the circuit purpose hasn't been said and isn't obvious without showing in- or outputs.
