How do you simulate a resistor in HFSS ?

Re: HFSS question

Create a 2D object (such as reactangle) and set in Lumped RLC boundary condition. notice that you must define a Current line for it.

Re: HFSS question

I need a help please in this point..

From HFSS help:
Steps for Assigning Lumped RLC Boundaries
1. Select the object or object face to which you want to assign the lumped RLC boundary.

So I think I have to draw rectangle to assinge the resistor..As KMPA said

but what is the size of this rectangle?

what about if the resistor connected microstrip line to ground(microstrip//substrate//ground)

I will be greateful, anyone helps me.
Thanks.

Re: HFSS question

sheet size should be an electrical small compairing to simulation frequency....
