Hi dear friends,
Would you please tell me what are the minimum memory requirements for running a simple "LED Blinking" program on at91sam9260?
Since this chip has no internal flash memory for hex/bin file,i want to know whether a NAND FLASH is enough for programming and running the program or it also need SDRAM?
I've read the datasheet but i can't figure out the process.
Would you please help me with the minimum hardware for running this chip?
Thanks in advance.

the 9260 has
8 KBytes Data Cache, 8 KBytes Instruction Cache, MMU
• Memories
– 32-bit External Bus Interface supporting 4-bank SDRAM/LPSDR, Static Memories,
CompactFlash, SLC NAND Flash with ECC
– Two 4-kbyte internal SRAM, single-cycle access at system speed
– One 32-kbyte internal ROM, embedding bootstrap routine

NAND flash does cone in big memory sizes. they are too big for your application and costly tooo.

if you need you can boot from SD card, but the available options are Boot from NAND Flash, SDCard, DataFlash or serial DataFlash.
LED blinking needs led driver or uln 2803 connected to port to drive led/ led is assumed to be smd

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
Can i just copy the hex file into SDCard?
Where can i find example or documentation for booting from SDCard?
Best regards.
