hey there,

(at the first, sorry the english is my 3rd language )
i've a question how can i open my room's door using usb flash, that meaning put the usb in the port beside the door ... bty i've no idea how to do this, and i've no equipment.

sincerley,
Ramzy

I am not sure if there is any ASIC that could perform that. But a simple solution would be using some uC with a USB Host host hardware. It should be able to read the content of the flash and do what you want. The implementation would be something like, you set some interrupt if some device is connected. You check VID and PID to see if its match to your device. If yes. You read the flash. For devices.. probably you can find on Cortex-M3 .. PIC32... AVR32 and so on. And for sure on controllers with much more horsepower as ARM9.. ARM11.. PowerPC.. Cortex-A8 and A9.

thank's Sink0 for ur replying, i found an idea to do this ... bringing a Wireless USB Internet, providing this device that when we joint the USB in the device then the door open! ... we also know that in the USB we have 4 cables, tow for the electric and tow for the information, and in the Wireless USB we have the same, then we disrupt the cables of the information, in the tow devices, when we put the usb in the Wireless USB, the electric current cross in the door and openning it!.

thank's

Lol.. so you dont really need a USB device to open a door if a wire jumper would solve your problem. Why the USB?

heheh ... how can i do that, using wire jumber!!?

thank's
