hi all!could someone tell which is the main difference between 8-bit timer and 16-bit timer???also i cant find any programs for reversed digital clocks with 8 and 16 bit timer for 8051.

Obscure question?
An 8 bit timer counts up to 255 and then overflows back to zero, a 16 bit timer counts up to 65535 and then overflows back to zero.
The difference is the resolution of the count.
