[SOLVED] Electric project trigger.

A 9 volt rechargable battery apparently can be charged with a AC charger 11.2VDC 40 mA. Can I connect a 12 volt basic car battery to provide myself with more/longer power supply? To explain what I try to do I try to convert an electronic trigger for a paintball gun to complete two circuits at the same time, But I think the regular small 9 volt battery will be drained too fast. The circuit #1 will be to trigger the cylinoid to shoot. The #2 circuit will switch a relay which will close the circuit for speaker wires. Thanks
 

The answer is probably, but maybe not. Does that help? This type of experimentation can be expensive.

When supplied with it's design voltage, a circuit takes what current (amperage) it wants. Your concern is unfounded.

its your circuit who decides how much current it needs
it may be worth trying but conciser the fact that using a 12V supply on a 9v regulator would heat it up and result in juice loss
