Hi everyone,

What to do after completing a PhD? Whether to seek a job in industry?

I am in the area of RF microwave and passive components, R&D, measurements. 5 years expirience.

What is the situation today in this field RF industry? Europe, USA?

Country, salary, experience?
Each experience is welcome.

Thank you all.

There is a general lack of good engineers in Europe. I would suggest you to try to seek a job in the industry. There will learn a lot of new applied things that will further help you in the future whether you will try for an academic career.

Thanks Duke.
I'll try to seek job in EU. For industry, isnt PhD too qualified? Correct me if I am wrong.
I have some publications, research papers and conferences (eg. IEEE). It can be an advantage when looking for a job?
